It is a once-a-week medication where a drug is delivered using a pre-filled pen in the form of an injection. It provides convenience to all the users. It can be more effective if you pair it with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Learning how to use Wegovy and inject it properly will help you achieve the best results with safety and consistency.

The stepwise doses approach is what Wegovy is using. What does it mean? That’s the increase of doses in a gradual manner for several weeks to help you reduce the of nausea, bloating, or dizziness because it allows your body to adapt to the process.

Your medication should start at a low dose, as per your healthcare provider’s prescription. Then it will increase slowly every 4 weeks utill you reach such a maintenance level.

Why gradual dose important? Because it will help the digestive system to adjust to the process. The patient can possibly experience the risk of gastrointestinal side effects, compared to a gradual increase that can provide safety and comfort.

Here’s the weekly dosing schedule that most clinics in the UK follow:

Wegovy will not give results at the start of your treatment or within 4 weeks. But that’s absolutely fine, and you don’t have to worry about that because this stage is not meant for losing weight; it is meant to make your body adjust to the process. The effect of losing weight will eventually show as you increase the dose or within a few weeks.
